Physics Department
The Department of Physics was established in 1980 with B.Sc. pass course.
Later on B.Sc. Physics Honours course was also introduced in 2007.

Now the Department of Physics is running B.Sc. Honours, B.Sc. Pass course as three years programme and one paper of Applied Physics of
B.Sc. Home Science as well. The intake for B.Sc. Honours, B.Sc. Pass Course and B.Sc. Home Science is 60, 240 and
40, respectively.The Department of Physics has well experienced and trained faculty members. Some faculty members have got
their research papers and articles published in prestigious
Moreover, the faculty members update their knowledge time to time by attending Seminars, Webinars and Faculty Development Programme.
The faculty members enthusiastically participate in Sports activities and have won many medals in national/international level Sports Meet. The Physics Department always promotes adherence to high ethical values. Teachers of the department are not only "Mentors," but also "Friends" for students. The bright students of 10+2 are fascinated with the dedicated and accomplished faculty of the Department and congenial environment for innovation. The major achievements of the students of Physics Department enthral the younger students. Thus, the Physics Department has contributed
